Ugly name but a BEAUTIFUL beer! We love our rural location, it’s always a delight at any time of year to see what nature has to offer us and surrounding the brewery and local moors are rhynes (like a stream), which play home to amazing wildlife, including the somewhat beautiful and rare – yet strangely named – Frogbit plant. As this beer is both beautiful and rare (it’s a special brew) we figured that despite it’s unusual name, it was quite fitting for what we’d created. We can confirm that no frogs were used in the making of this beer!
|Hops:||Epic, Pilgrim, Bramling Cross|
Brewed at OG 1044 and ABV 4.6%. A light coloured and beautiful translucent green premium ale, traditionally brewed using only the finest quality of Stonehenge Spring Water, barley and wheat malts, whole hops and the brewery's own top-fermenting yeast and a drop of green magic. This beer is incredibly smooth and rich in both malt and hop aroma, the finish is delightfully fruity a pleasantly bitter.
Cult classics don’t come any more cult than “The Big Lebowski”.
The Polish name set the scene for “The Dude” that uses two varieties of Polish hops, Junga and Pulawski. Wonderfully bronzed gold in colour, the flavours get really tied together with four different malts. “The Dude” abides with a light caramel, pleasing aroma followed by a dreamy, mellow toffee and nut sweetness on the tongue and a delicate bitter aftertaste.
5.5% ABV does the trick if you’re fan of those slightly trippy scenes in the movie!
The Dude abides!

Finest Maris Otter Pale Ale Malt (UK)
HOBSONS OLD PRICKLY 4.2%ABV
The snuffly hedge grog is a pale ale full of hop flavour and brewed with Columbus and Lubelski hops to give this beer a complex flavour of floral and citrus notes. Locally sourced Maris Otter malting barley is used to brew this beer which has become a firm favourite and permanent beer.
An award-winning golden bitter from an all malt brew, with Styrian Golding hops added at various stages, to give a classic hop flavour and aroma.
Cocker Hoop 4.6% ABV
The name is derived from ‘Cock-a Hoop’, an old custom of removing the cock (or spigot) from a barrel and resting it on the hoop of the cask before commencing a drinking bout, but was changed to reflect the brewery’s location on the banks of the River Cocker.
